Hamraz
Visual artist, DJ, journalist and cover artist for Lava on Wax, whose practice is rooted in research and deep listening. Her DJ sets emerge from years of digging, bringing together warm, textured selections with a strong sense of narrative flow. Moving between jazz-funk and lesser-heard records sourced across global scenes.
DJ F1BI
Copenhagen vinyl DJ with a deep connection to the hip hop underground. Hours spent digging and putting her hands on dusty records in a fusion of hip hop, jazz and funk, with a creativity that feels at home in the analogue way.
Rita Blue
Started collecting records in the early 2000s, buying her very first vinyl at Hyde Park on Istedgade. Played her first gig at Rubadub Sundays at Stengade in 2002. For Open Studio she's gone on a deep dive into her archives, unearthing old white labels from legendary spots like Loud and Street Dance Records, along with deep dubby sound, quirky hip hop, and tributes to the vibrant local Y2K electronica scene.
Astrid Engberg
Passionate record collector, musician and DJ. Mixes for KEXP and Crack Magazine. Residencies on Balamii Radio in London and MMH Radio in Copenhagen. Guest DJ on DR P8 Jazz. Played stages big and small: Heartland, STRØM, Drift Radio, Distortion and more. Sets always marked by an intuitive movement between personal musical narratives, organic grooves and leftfield bangers.
Den Stenede Rille
The duo of Mads and Asbjørn, known for keeping Copenhagen's dance floors moving with rhythmic extravaganza from around the world. Residents at Mesteren and Søhesten, and hosts of the weekly Organic Groove Society. Closing out the day with their signature stoned groove sound.
